How does a Feed-in tariff it work?
A ‘Feed-in Tariff’’ guarantees the owner, a premium price for every unit of electricity generated from PV. This price is fixed and guaranteed by law for a 25year term * The more electricity you generate, the more you get paid - plus you will be reducing your energy bills and carbon footprint at the same time.

3 ways to benefit:

1. Fixed payments from your electricity supplier for every kilowatt hour (kWh)* of electricity generated from your PV system. The electricity generated is metered and you will be paid the prevailing tariff. Click here for the tariff chart These payments are tax free and index linked for 25 years.
2. Payments for every kWh exported to the grid you will be guaranteed a long-term guaranteed 3pence per kWh
3. Save some or all of the electricity you would otherwise have had to buy, typically 12-15p per kWh, at today’s prices. And remember that these savings will increase as the price of electricity rises over the 25year term.
(‘Kilowatt hours’ are the standard units of electricity measurement. A kilowatt hour represents the use of 1000Watts constantly, for an hour. For instance - ten x 100Watt bulbs all lit for an hour - will consume one kilowatt hour.) 

Who can benefit?

Unlike previous incentive schemes the Feed-in Tariff is open to everyone including business and commerce. Tariff payments can even be assigned to another party.

Who can install?
