Objective
To comply with the Breeam on-site renewable energy assessment.

Solution
Although the building has sufficient ideally orientated roof space, planning permission was only granted for the Solar PV Array Solution to be installed on the vertical face of the south facing elevation. This arrangement reduces the annual energy output by around 30%,  so to achieve the required annual energy output required the system size had to be increased accordingly.

South Facing were closely involved with the both the commercial Solar PV solution and the mechanical design solution.

Result
South-Facing worked closely with the builder to ensure that the installation was completed and commissioned on time and with out interruption to the build programme.The development has successfully achieved its discharge of planning conditions and supplies the occupiers with over 7 tons reduction in CO2 emissions every year. A low carbon footprint building success.
