New Build Care Home, Lincoln

Objective
The local authority’s Adult Welfare Department were expanding the facilities at the existing site and required their new facility to generate 10% of its electricity from renewable sources. The Solar PV roof tile was selected for it’s discreet visual impact. 

Solution
South Facing supplied and installed the Solar PV tile system. 

System details
The PV system consists of 92 PV tiles on 22degree pitch roof. 

Modules – 2x strings of 46 PV tiles (55watts each)
Inverters – 2x Sunny Boy 2500
Total System Output 5.06kWp 

Result
The system blends seamlessly into the roof line and provide an annual C02 saving of more than 2.5tonnes.
