Our Product Range

PV Tiles and Slates
These replace conventional roofing materials to deliver a seamless aesthetic roofline - particularly important for planning sensitive  locations such as conservation areas or listed buildings.

Imerys PV tiles - the ultimate sustainable roof
Imerys' Renewable roof system combines Imerys's natural clay tile range with a powerful PV tiles to make the ultimate in sustainable roofing. Imerys clay tiles are much more sustainable than energy wasting, concrete alternativetives. Combining aesthetics and PV with great value - Imerys' low embedded energy cost makes  them the natural choice for sutainable building.

Roof Mounted Systems

Roof mounted systems are the simplest, most cost effective and most popular way to generate electricity.

They consist of framed PV modules mounted on a frame on a flat or pitched roof. The size of the system is only limited by the roof space available

The picture (Right) shows modules mounted on a flat in Camden roof mounted on a K2 frame pitched at 25 degrees.

This method is especially suited to inustrial and commercial sheds.
This is a cost effective way to achieve planning consent related energy or CO2 targets.

Building Integrated PV (BIPV)

flexible PV for large areas
Thin film PV is a good  alternative to traditional silicon. Thin film has a lower power output per sq metre but it’s lower cost makes it a cost effective option especially for larger sites. The solutions shown below, are from left to right flexible PV adhered to :- raised seam steel,  sheet steel, and single ply membrane.

Solar Canopies
Buildings with south facing glazing can over heat in the summer. This 5kW system acts as a sunshade, making the room temperature more comfortable in summer and it generates over 4000 kWh per year. The reduction in solar gain saves energy needed to run air conditioning/cooling systems.

Roof Integrated PV module systems
Modules Integrated into the plane of the roof offer aesthetics at a reasonable cost. This consists of modules fitted onto a weatherproof tray- replacing tiles and lowering the system’s profile.
The picture below shows the system on Edge Grove School in Aldenham, Herts. This project was supported by a LCBP Phase2 Grant. We are a subcontract partners with British Gas. These grants are available for schools, community organisations public buildings and charities. Call us for more information on 01442 397 578

PV Glazing solutions
There are several glazing products now available and many more in development –various grades of transparent or opaque PV films can be adhered to glass to produce electricity and a range of effects that architects are only just beginning to exploit. Thin film PV glazing is available in Opaque or varios grades of transparency. Exciting Thin film PV product developments are in progress around the world. We expect a raft of new announcements from mid 2007 onwards – Call us for the latest products news.

PV Cladding
Cladding vertical walls with modules is a simple cost effective and attractive way to integrate
PV into buildings.

Ground Mounted Systems
Ground Mounted systems are becoming increasingly popular where there is not enough roof space for a roof mounted system or the roof is not southerly orientated. A simple frame is constructed adjacent to the building and the modules attached. Ground Mounted systems perform well due to good ventilation of the modules. We have even designed pergolas, and canopies using modules.

Tracker Systems
Tracker systems follow the sun across the sky throughout the day to make the most of the energy available. This results in up to 40% greater output compared with a static system of the same rating. Our trackers come in three frame sizes but by adding different modules a wide range of output sizes can be achieved.
